so, i'm using Pokesav to generate .xml codes that i would normally use with an AR. i downloaded and used r4cce to convert the .xml into an .evocheats file for my cyclo. i import the xml, create game, (pokemon platinum), add the code, make sure i clicked "game enable" and "cheat enable", then save as an .evocheats file. i then place it on the root of my microSD. but when i load platinum, with cheats enabled on the cyclo, the code doesn't work. any ideaS?

Sorry my bad didn't read properly? just woke up

like i had mentioned earlier on do you have any idea of what you are doing?
if yes the codes should work

if not why not you post it here and see anyone can help you

maybe you didn't get the game ID right

b- What is Game ID and how to locate it via r4cce?

i)My explanation would be Game ID is the identity of a game! It should be unique and no two different games should share a same Game ID

ii)In order for the cheat codes to show up on your cheat menu, the Game ID of your database should be the same as your game’s Game ID! Otherwise you won’t see any codes on your cheat menu.

iii)Common problem/mistake
For example a patched / dubbed rom’s Game ID might be different from the clean rom! If both the IDs are different it will cause cheats doesn’t show up on menu

iv)Use the … function to locate the game ID! Where is the … ? It is in between of the Game ID and the Dup? button.

After Pressing the … button you will be presented a menu, locate your game and click OPEN. You will realized the default Game ID will change from ABCJ 12345678 to something else. This is the Game ID for Avalon Code YOGE 53AC1A52

by the way, what are you intending to cheat on? does the cheat database contains about what you want?
have you ever tried it? cheats.gbatemp.net

yes, i already made it into english and used the r4cce.

what i am asking is, i am having a problem with the evocheats file generated by the r4cce. if i place it in the root of the microSD folder, it does nothing in game. if i put it into the CycloDS folder, it still does nothing.

must you post the same thing over and over again!
i had already reply you

USE r4cce to do it!
and even post you how to get it work on ENGLISH
ah damnit, you beat me to it as always.

Noob: R4CCE is your answer, although I don't see why you can't just use the cheat's available at cheats.gbatemp.net and modify your save using PokeSav (hint, SAV)

EDIT: Try calling it cheats.evocheats, or whatever its supposed to be called.

it's no problem.

i wouldn't be able to find it at the database, because...

ok, here is what i'm trying to do: in pokemon platinum, i want to have a code that loads a wondercard into the game so i can pick up a pokemon at the mart. but i want to do this many times so i can get many different dates. i know i can just load the wondercard into Pokesav and have it work, but then i must save, turn off, eject microSD, load into computer, load save file, and save the pokemon generated from the wondercard, then put another wondercard into the .sav and repeat. using ar, if i had a code, i could just hit l and r to generate, get the pokemon, save, turn off, start again with the code on, it is much, much faster.

yes, i have enabled cheat on Cyclo menu

so i'm wondering, what can i be doing wrong, where would i put a cheat file, the root of the folder or inside the Cyclo subfolder?

try read it again~!

the reason you don't see the cheat menu pop up before you launch the game should be the game ID problem
i had up a section on how to locating your game id

by the way i put the cheats on the CycloDS folder

i wish you luck on that

yes, i think i did that too..

here is a step-by-step what i do.

1. load wondercard files into pokesav; export .xml file and save onto desktop.
2. open r4cce, import .xml.
3. go to games, make sure the game id is correct, hit "...", load pokemon platinum.nds file just to be safe
4. check game enabled, check cheat enabled in r4cce
5. save as an .evoCheats file
6. move .evoCheats file into CycloDS subfolder in microSD folder
7. boot CycloDS, go to settings, enable cheats, start platinum ("do you want to start game with cheats enabled" screen, or whatever, does NOT show up)

nevermind, i have fixed it =]

it turns out, i had been saving as usr.evoCheats rather than user.evoCheats >_>

thanks for all your help, elixirdream.

EDIT: is it possible to put on more than one code at once, since it looks like only user.evoCheats file will work and i can't put two file of the same name in the folder?

hahahahah

congrats ! no problem, i am very happy it helps

you just give me a good idea what to add to the cheat wiki usr.evoCheats rather than user.evoCheats

actually all you need to do is choose the save type as and click save it will auto-name the cheat file as user.evoCheats !

are you trying to say you have multiple code but can only choose once from a folder?

well, say i generate two .xml, want to use both at the same time on platinum. if i have to name the cheat file user.evocheats for it to work, it will only let me put one file of that name in the CycloDS folder (it will say, do you want to delete the other one) so i was wondering is there a way around this.

YES you can but i am lazy to type so i just copy and paste everything from the wiki

you can either open the .xml file with a notepad and do as the following guide (read part a and b)
or
open two r4cce import two different .xml file just copy and paste (read part c)

PART A & B

A quicker way on how to add codes

By reading this I assume you have known how to create your own database! If not this is not suitable for you!
