my tutorials are 2 months old...now you only get 2 folders..if you got that far then you jus replace the old xls with your new translated xls....click compile everything as he said and youll have 2 files updated = static and common...replace those 2 as said above using wiiscrubber.....

Like said, the translation started before the localization announcement.
It is only a menu patch, and the team stopped when Nintendo announced the European localization.

The tools are available for people wanting to still try it before the launch (I was curious how the game looked like), or for translating in other languages not included in the future official release.

There's no rules saying that a team have to stop translating when a language is available.
It's like some games which are re-translated by fans, even though they are already in english. It's just a project like another, by a team who like doing it, whatever the reason. I think hackers learn a lot from any project, useful or not for the end user.

This game is coming very soon. Why try and translate?
Just for fun? COOL!
Once I see a definite release date, then I'll stop worrying about a translation patch.

That only affects the legit users who haven't softmodded their consoles, the PAL version still has English language and subtitles.

here is a partial english translation of the static.arc replace it with wii scrubber its pretty good but some strings are cut short because japanese people write with less characters yay

Please please please make a patch so we can download and patch it up.

You need to replace 2 files in the game iso.
a static.arc patch is not enough, you need to make one for common.pkb too.

I followed the tutorial and replaced the xls files myself, then rebuild the files into the iso, but the game is freezing when I'm accessing the item menu/map/option/settings/etc.
So if someone have these two files in their latest working version it would be great.

Anyway, only 2 months to wait

Amazon is listing 19th august. (still no pre-order available on the french amazon, but at least they added the pack)
Great, I'll be in holidays on 19th

Ok I'll post some of the patch files except for darch that you'll have to find on your own I'll post them once I get home later today, the games coming to Europe soon so no one really needs to translate it I didn't make any o these patch files all the credit goes to some one else

Uhmm.. is it okay to request for a menu patch? I read all the post here and it seems all the links are dead. :/
I really want to try playing it with english translations. Pleeeease. :/

Anybody has the tools in #249?
I'm not in the language of those,
therefore I still want to work on a translation project.

Thanks for the tools.
And I want to ask, how come the the .dat files I extracted from the script.pkb can not be found any text?
Or it uses a special code but not the common euc-j or shift-j?
Have all you guys seen the texts succesfully?
