GoPro is something many people know from innovative videos in extreme sports such as rock climbing, motocross, scuba diving, racing and base jumping. Sharing the videos is always a challenge, but luckily it will be made possible with the Xbox One/360 and its GoPro Channel App.

The App will include browsing and searching based on categories such as sports, athletics and adventure. Microsoft will also add an option of buying GoPro merchandises via the online store. The Apps will be launched in spring 2014 for the Xbox 360 and in the summer for the Xbox One.

GoPro or go home... and watch GoPro from there.

Who said you can't? This is just a dedicated app for fans.

Biggest problem is usually getting the correct audience due to the huge amount of other videos on, say Youtube.

Well mostly a vid is a vid... of course gopro are generally good quality (HD). I reckon it's time for Discovery to start hunting down the 'best of' and compiling some cool crowdsourced documentary.

The footage tends to be mostly (extreme) sports and actiony stuff as opposed to the average YouTube fare. And I guess "young people doing extreme sports" is the image Microsoft wants the Xbone to associate with.
