XBOX-Linux?

I got this original XBOX fo' free! Now I don't really have anything to do with it so can I put Linux on it, I never used Linux before.

Even if I was to put Linux on it then what?

I don't know about Linux, but you can install XBMC.

That is, if you're talking about the original Xbox and not the 360.

Mod it and install Xbox Media Center.
It turns the XBOX into a media hub that also plays XBOX games

You can also put emulators on it

Also I recommend playing Halo and Jet Set Radio Future
