I have an Elite Series 2. I prefer using the dish Dpad. Using it is causing wear and tear on my faceplate. I'm considering just drilling out a perfect circle. Anyone ever do this? Good idea or bad idea?

Aside from possibly causing premature wear on the capacitive contacts because there's nothing obstructing complete contact mashing, you'll have a larger hole for more debris to enter the controller... but I digress, too each their own. Try it out, do a review, and revisit a review in 1yr from mod?

I mean, it would be similar to how it is on the Xbox Series S/X controllers, would it not?

I am just gonna let you sound out your own question and realise how much of a dumb idea that is. Surely in 2024 people arent this dumb anymore right??

You're good at insulting people, but not too good explaining from a physical standpoint why it's not a good idea.
