Xbox Blue Screen

I haven't had my Xbox plugged in for many many years. Decided to check if it still worked and maybe play some older games on the TV.

Well it kind of went by plan but running into some issues.

I have the xbox modded with a mod chip and a custom launcher.

xecutor 2 if I remember correctly.

All of my programs show up as links on the main launcher page.

Well all goes well until I go to try to launch a program, emulator or other.

It shows a blue screen.

Not sure why this is happening , everyything looks good from the last time I used it.

Also tried a game disc and that did not work either.


Anyone have suggestions on what is going on ?
Would be nice to get this stystem running instead of sitting collecting dust.

Humm, try backing up your HDD via FTP and resoft mod it with Slayers cd?

I will try ftp this weekend. Haven't did much for trouble shooting. Will keep posting what 8 find. It seems like forever since I ran it. Half the challenge is remembering what I have loaded and how to run it

Luckily, it's got a chip inside so you could simply dump in a new HDD and format it with Slayers if needed.

Ok its solved.

The TV I hooked it up to is a very cheap TV. It was not autodetecting when a game or mode changed in the Xbox.

I ended up resetting the mod chip, cleaned out the fans etc.
Then got everything working fine.

Restarted TV after a game was launched VIA DVD or HDD, it worked fine.
Only bad part now is I have to restart TV everytime I change modes.

Oh well it should be ok.

Perhaps it's time to invest in a better telly.
They're not that expensive if you get them used.

No prob tho.
