Hi everyboy!

I will need to swap a motherboard from a 360 slim special edition to a standard one.

I would like to make an upgrade to the standard one: Remove the buzzer and install a speaker like the special edition one (so I can flash and keep the special edition sounds).

There is only one store online that has the xecuter sonus upgrade kit, but it's very expensive.

I would like to know if the Xbox one speaker will fit. The holder seems identical. You can easily find it on the internet.

  • and somewhere/someone out there, can confirm Amazon/Ebay/Ali (any online retailer) sells the generic speaker you can solder in... 8-ohm, 1-watt, 28mm speaker.

X1 speaker housing looks very similar to the 360 speaker housing, I may work but I don't have one for comparison.
That's what I thought.. they look very similar. It was my only option because xecuter sonus upgrade kit is not available anymore.

Do you know if the corona and trinity mobo's screws are on the same place?
When I open the two xboxes, if I have the two models, can I swap them with no issues?

Thanks

I would like to share my experience.
I have done this mod.

The easy part was replacing the buzzer with the speaker. The speaker ftom xbox one is identical but the housing is a little bigger. With some bricolage you can fit it in.

Flashing the sonus is very tricky if you don't have the right tools. The points are almost microscopic.

After lots of tries and bricking the TX programmer (and unbricking it reflashing fw) I was able to flash sonus sounds without soldering. I decided to glue the wires in place with tape and press them while flashing to dodge damaging the points. I figured out the console have to be plugged to mains and the switches on TX have to be correct.

A long journey.. the 1st time it flashed something went wrong. No sound on boot. Just silence on button presses =/
But when I did it; I just shout very loud YEEEEAAH!

Thank you @HawaiianInTown for the diagrams.
