Hi so basically my family bought a xbox in 2013 or something and my dad got it modded by some guy, used until like 2016 before moving on to the PS4 and its been rotting away. I found it and decided to upgrade it, basically hacking it where i can emulate stuff on it. The guy who modded it just made it possible so you can write games on cds and the xbox can read it, but it doesnt work anymore, so it went to waste. I want to:
1. format the xbox 360 to its original (as bought state)
2. hack it so you can emulate stuff on it
3. put a 2.5 inch hdd in it (not detected rn, as well as the systems internal storage)

Open the console up and check if there's a chip or some wires inside.
Post a picture on the forum as well, we'll be able to tell what you have and help you.

You can upgrade the internal HDD to a 2 TB one if it's hacked, it'll happily read from the HDD.

if you install an hdd, you just need the serial number iirc if it's an rgh. you can get that in system information, so you don't need to look for the sticker. if it's stock, you can only use wd scorpio drives as that's the only ss.bin (security sector) that we have afaik. I personally don't have a 2TB internal hdd. I'm not sure if they made them that large or small enough back about 13 years ago. the 1TB I have is slightly too big, but I was able to make it fit in my pink caddie by bending back these metal pieces and breaking them off. it's been going strong since. it's a phat though, still plugged in, even though I have a series x, which is quiet as hell (literally no noise), and it doesn't seem to get even warm based on what I've seen.

here it is. I formatted both this drive and another 750GB drive on my sata station after the drives had been removed, so they both work without a problem, just don't have anything to put them in, so they're both lying on the headboard of my bed.
