By the end of this year I'm planning to get a 360 or a PS3 and I can't decide which one I want. I already have a Wii and I think its great but I want to experience the HD graphics and play with the old controller scheme. The PS3 is going to have Metal Gear Solid 4 released for it and thats a big factor for me because, I'm a huge fan of this series and its the last game in the series. GT5 is coming out for the PS3 too and I'm also deciding to get a wheel and the shifter for it. These two games make me want to get a PS3. Xbox 360 has a great list of games and has all the games that the PS3 has and they are a lot of games for Xbox 360 that I can think that I would love to play (most of them are FPS) that are not on the PS3. I'm so debating whatever I should get GH3 for the Wii or just wait till I get a Xbox 360 or a PS3. And I don't mind paying for the online for Xbox 360.

I want to hear your opinions on why you've chosen to get a Xbox 360 or a PS3 over the other one. And what games you currently play.

EDIT: This make me so stupid, lol. Some other guy is planing to get one too by the end of the year.

It's basically a question of whether to wait for the good games, or to get a console with a list of good games already.

As you said, most of the good games on Xbox360 are first person shooters available on PC, which would make PS3 games stand out more.

If only you could pirate games on PS3 LOL

What are some games that are being released for PS3 that might spark my interest?

And even if they are on the PC I know my computer can't handle the games at 100 percent so I'm not looking into having a gaming computer.

Great, now I'm some guy.

Depends on what type of games you like, and if you like a certain type, get those ones.

Ok here's kind of an easy solution.
Think of 3 exclusive games you'd kill to play for each console.
And go with it.
Price of each is pretty much the same. PS3 console itself is more expensive but you have to buy wireless network adaptor, HD-DVD addon, and Live membership separately for 360 (and you'll probably skip the first two)
