I've been looking into flashing, and I wanted to know if anyone has recommendations for computers. I have been looking at the dell optiplex 745, but Im not sure if it will work so if anyone knows that would be good help.
I did buy that sata card but console mods wiki said it was incompatible with slim drives, but I haven't tested it yet. What does a computer have to do with xbox360 disc drive flashing?
If you want a 100% reliable chipset to flash x360 disc drive, use a VIA VT6421 PCI SATA card, installed inside any model computer with a PCI slot on the motherboard.
You can also just find/ buy a X360USB Pro, like this below. It will work through USB on any pc/ laptop.

If you go this route, flash the disk drive, you will also need a DVD burner and blank Dual-layer DVDs. (Recommend Verbatim)
Another better option is a RGH2/3 mod (if you comfortable soldering) or there is even a newer mod called "badupdate" that does not require flashing or soldering. Good luck.

That may be true, only certain DVD drives were flash-able. I'd recommend doing a RGH3 mod if its a slim:I did buy that sata card but console mods wiki said it was incompatible with slim drives, but I haven't tested it yet.
