Team Xecuter member Juvenal has been working to upgrade the harddisk of the XBone.
It's not easy as it requires you to know about Linux but TX have stated to be working on a Windows application for it.

    Source: XBonecrunch.
Edited the instructions slightly, no major changes.

Well that looks many times less annoying than doing it for the 360.

I will have to dig a bit deeper to see what is actually going on.

I suppose the question now is how MS will react.

Ah...so in order to upgrade your hard drive on a Microsoft-based console, you'll need to run linux? Yeah...that makes sense. In a way.

Majority of the hacking/modding tools are build on Linux.
After that they get ported to Windows.

Indeed this. It would not be hard for Microsoft to check what kind of HDD you have in the console. If it was a non-retail variant (serial, size, whatnot), the results are to be seen. Doubt it'll result into a ban, but AFAIK didn't Microsoft specifically say that you can't change the internal HDD?
