just so other dont get ripped of by this poor quality company:
(for the record: i have done many wii's with solder chips and done a flatmii with ease when a proper chip was sent)

    Code:
i am very DISAPPOINTED and now down many dollars let me explain why: i get your shipment ... so i REMOVE the D2B dvd drive that i soldered a wiikey onto, to try this new flatmii you sent me... ( and i notice 1 of the cable clips is loose and the corner is chipped out making me think the flatmii you sent was used and the cables new) i proceed with my spare d2c (never modded) i follow the flatmi 1.01 guide and use instruction for install with dvddrive... (i tape the place ment area even though i use the chip protector sleeve sent with the chip and i tape the ''extra area jujst to be safe i plug in the power and insert a disk.. it gets ejected???? so i power off remove the drive try the flatmii with my spare d2a , again never moddd but i was gonna put my other wiikey on it , till i saw you were selling flatmii) i power on the drive, insert the disk again and now the disk wont eject, its stuck in the drive???? so i remove the d2a , hook up the d2c again and it only ejects another disk wont even spin the disk long enough to read it??? so i hook the d2c up to the wii and try it with out a chip and now the disk is ejected and the drive is useless??? i hook up the d2a and without a chip the drive is now useless???? so now i think i was sent a used flatmii and a useless drive killer at that! i am now running my wii with the wiikey i installed on the d2b drive that was in it at 1st. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE QUALITY OF THE MERCHANDISE ON ARRIVAL, AND DISAPPOINTED IN THE FACT THAT I AM NOW DOWN $240.00 FOR THE D2A AND D2C DRIVES I HAD BOUGHT FOR SPARE , AM NOW STUCK WITH A SPARE WIIKEY AND NO DRIVE TO SOLDER IT TO. AND THIS DEFECTIVE FLATMII YOU SENT SETS ME BACK HOW MUCH MORE MONEY? over $60 my only satisfaction comes in knowing my wii is still use-able since i did the installation with spare dvddrives. so my question to you is who's going to reimburse me for the defective chip and the 2 dvd drives it disabled WHAT A WONDERFUL THANKS GIVING PRESENT THIS WAS!!?? please explain how this would happen and how after soldering in 1 d2ckey and 18 wiikey's i cant even get a cable install to work ??? please explain how i am going to get a working drive with a working flatmii chip, since i am without a flatmii and without my two spare dvd drives for my wii's? signed: very DISAPPOINTED thet i spent over an hour wrecking my equipment with your defective shipment! instead of spending it with my 4 kids on thanks giving , none the less!
    Code:
We only sell brand new products.ÂÂNever once have we sold used products.ÂÂPerhaps your chip may have gotten damaged during shipping.

As well, there is no way the chip should disable your drive.ÂÂThe only way I can see that happening is if you hook the cables up backwards on the Flatmii chip itself since one end goes to the drive and the other end goes to the Wii.

This is why it is stated on our Terms and Conditions page here: http://www.modchipcentral.com/store/help.php?section=conditions

"Some of these products will require dis-assembly and re-assembly of the products you own.

You are fully responsible for the implementation and use of any product that is ordered

The customer is liable for the use, mis-use and implementation "

Send it back to our address on our Contact Us page and mark on the front of the package RMA and we can exchange it for you.

Be sure to mark the RMA # by the address on the front.ÂÂAs well, we only accept RMA's through USPS/CanadaPost (No UPS or FedEx or DHL as it will be refused when it arrives)
    Code:
What reason would we have to screw you over for a defective item? We are an honest and legitimate company.ÂÂI have looked through our RMA bin here many times and your RMA is not here
[code]WOW! thanx for taking the time in making sure the pieces sent were secure this time!...not!
lowzy service with the safe shipping!
especialy after sending me a broken chip the 1st time,
then it ''MYSTERIOUSLY'' going missing when i sent it back.
leeds me too conclude your an underhanded provider... who probly is sitting on the return as i have never had anything
''get lost in the mail'' and now i see how you ''take care of your customers'' by the care inpackaging this purchase.

    signed...
    continuously disapointed with your service!
after much complaining done by me

    Code:
Hey Mark, so I have actually located your RMA here as it was in a very small package and was sitting at the bottom of our RMA bin.

Would you like me to just refund you the $39.95 for your purchase of the 2nd Flatmii chip?
then they just send it rite back what the !@#$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Code:
as if i cant recognize the same broken clip and scar's !

    how stupid!

im gonna waste my time complaining about the same damn chip being sent out if it was finaly a good 1 ?

your horrible service and constant portrial of horrible shipping or customer stupidity only furthers the belief from my vary first complaint ,that your selling used crap!

you say your legit!?!haha ... i get a broken chip that damages 2 drives, i pay again(thats where im stupid) to have you finaly send out another 1 after "mysteriously" loosing the RMA (i new you were lieing! .. haha blaming it on the shipping again! whatever!) then you ship back the same damaged chip with broken clip and scares in the same place as well!

    haha then state:

''What do you mean we sent the broken chip right back?

We sent you a completely new chip. We would never ship the same defective chip back.''

as if you never made a mistake or even did this on purpose!!!!!! how pathetic

you need to get you ""legit company'' in proper working order!

you blame me again!!?? after shipping and me last time when it clearly your 'legit' companies fault!

rectify this! take ownership! how pathetic!

they still never took ownership of the mistakes and constantly blame shipping and me 'the buyer' for the 'lost' chip and damage done to it, but i can tell you the damage was not done by me and doubt very much it was shipping, since the second flatmii shipped and installed with no extra measures taken by modchipcentral

I've known this guy (from modchipcentral) for a while now, and to be honest, I find him to be totally stand up. There are two major modchip outfits in our city, and I started using him a couple of years ago. He's far better than the other guys. I know that dealing directly is different than through the mail, but I just wanted to vouch for him as a person.

    Just my two cents.

    modchipcentral is a good company

popular companies like MCC get an insane amount of orders, and its natural that something is going to go wrong.

i know for a fact that the owner is currently on about 4 hours sleep a day. working hard to get orders out, etc.
Its not an excuse, but you seem to be on the attack from the get go. If you write a email with CAPs, and lots of !!!! and ???? you are being fuel by too much emotion. Better to calm down, and just be nice. Its a human you are attacking, not a robot.

Well, we do fully take responsibility for misplacing your RMA however we have located it a few days later and shipped your replacement then as well.

Since it was misplaced and we were under the assumption the post office lost your package, I have given you a discount on another Flatmii chip which you did order and receive as well.

We have then located your RMA AFTER your new order was placed, and even e-mailed you out of nowhere AFTER your new order was placed, telling you we have located it and that you have 2 options. We can refund you for the new order you placed for the Flatmii you already received, or we can still ship another exchange since we located your RMA. You then e-mailed us stating you want an exchange still shipped and we shipped you a new Flatmii chip. If we really wanted to, we simply could have said screw it when we found your RMA since you already ordered a new chip. But being the nice guy I am with morals, I e-mailed you right after we found it, a few days after you placed your new order, and offered you a great resolution in my opinion.

You are only assuming that we shipped you the exact same chip because it "apparently" has the same scratches on it. I have explained to you many times that what we sent you was a 100% new chip. If you knew how the Flatmii and Flatmod team shipped their chips to distributors (literally just thrown in a box with crappy packaging), you will be able to see how every one of their chips has scratches on the Actel chip. OZMODCHIPS can vouch for this as he carried Flatmii as well. Have you actually tried the new chip we sent? You only stated to us that it is the same chip and that you are not going to risk frying another drive because we sent the same chip back.

We will never and have never shipped the same item back for an exchange to anyone. What reason would we do that for? To deal with an exchange again? I would never ruin my reptuation over that.

Here is a copy and paste of one of the e-mails you sent us to show the approach you took towards us:

"get me off this site a memeber ... you all fuckin suc shit! i want no part of this place! thieves and cheats with no respect! fuck you"

Well, that is my side of the story.

By offering you a refund and even exchanging your chip, I am not sure how we could have handled this any better in the end.

Hell I'll even give you free shipping on your next order to attempt to keep you as a happy customer [IMG]

I have to say... nothing ever works out perfectly 100% of the time... that's just business in general. But when the shit hits the fan, u want someone like Sylvester G. on your side, from what I read, I think modchipcentral did everything they could to rectify the situation (yea it sux they misplaced something, but that's life, i'm sure it wasn't done on purpose).

Markehmus may have overreacted a little bit in this thread, and I think he lost all credibility when I read a snippet of one of his emails
Honestly, if I ran my own business and a customer complained, I would do everything to help them... but if they complained the way Markehmus i would ignore him (thinking he can go fuck himself, but not saying it because of the damage it could do to the business).

Markehmus, I know its frustrating, but u will get more out of people if u dont cuss them out. I think you're lucky Sylvester even bothered replying to your angry messages.

I can also vouch for MCC that they have a great customer support, i've ordered a few items from them, and a friend of mine did the same, when i have questions they reply promptly, and the support was always great.

One bad order can happen, from any supplier. Thanks for warning us, but one bad experience can't counter-balance every other good experiences. (one, two... heck, even if 10 person come forward saying they had trouble, think that negative feedback is given more often than the positive one. Most people who could give positive feedback are usually busy enjoying their new toy [IMG] )

Do remember this is xmas season, they might have 10x the orders that they usually have the rest of the year, they have a lot to take care of.

I would like to say in ordering both my wiikey&d2pro and d2c replacement drive from them, I had nothing but great service and fast shipping. Not that you seem to be listening to anybody in this thread, but it seems that MCC went above and beyond what they needed to do here.

Wow markehmus you really went over the line. Stuff happens, you don't have to go all insane. I know it's frustrating to break something, but, hey, we're human, we all make mistakes.

Modchipcentral has been my go-to supplier for close to 100 modchips. They've never disappointed me.

Also, you can get a replacement DVD drive off of the bay for less than $50, free shipping.

I have not purchased alot from them but I have purchased some. The experience I had was exactly the opposite of what the author of this thread states. They were professional and courteous in all correspondences. Answered all my question emails promptly. Shipped very fast. And when i did have a problem, the professionalism continued. Great company to deal with!

I have gotten stuff from MCC and they are fantastic and find it very unlikely that he was attempting to scam you in anyway, shape or form.

I do find it likely, however, that someone who cannot even express themselves intelligently by adhering to basic english spelling and grammer rules would be less-than-qualified to work on electronics.

The OP is an illiterate idiot who probably screwed up the install on his own and then blamed MCC for it.

MCC is a legit company, don't be afraid to order from them.
