It's not high priority on my things-to-do list, but I've been seeing these "custom" GBA's using parts from funnyplaying and etc., & I do have an old translucent blue GBA that is top notch internally but beat up on the outside, so a perfect candidate. (Was also thinking GBA consolizer, but they're awol for the foreseeable future and cost too much for what you got when they were available.)

IPS 3.0 or ITA TFT screen? The IPS is a more modern, brighter and vibrant display at a higher resolution than the GBA had. The ITA screen is the same as was used for the DSi bottom screen, with the same 240x160 resolution as the GBA. More authentic, but not necessarily better.

What do you think?

the ips screen is better, much clearer and brighter, but consumes much more battery

But with an everdrive, the battery goes fast

L'écran ips est meilleur, beaucoup plus clair et lumineux, mais consomme beaucoup plus de batterie

Mais avec un everdrive,la batterie par vite

Isn't the IPS a higher resolution though so you lose the pixel grid look? Well, I guess that's a personal preference thing, maybe losing the pixel grid look is a good thing for most people?

TFT screens don't have image retention like ips, which means flashing screen elements in games such as f-zero mv can be weird. It's covered in my life in gaming's video on Gameboy screen upgrades. The IPS screens are much shaper and brighter however.
