Homebrew Wupinstaller vanishing files

Hi people.
I took the plunge today and decided to get my old wii u set up with home brew.
I've managed to follow the handy tutorials to get homebrew launcher working via the web exploit.
Installed Haxchii.
Have Wupinstaller on my SD card.

The issue I have is this.
I download from uTickethelper, place all the files in wiiu/install/etc

Then place the SD card back in my wii u, run Haxchii, run wupinstaller, get an error saying it couldn't install, then the whole install folder vanishes?

Any ideas guys?

I couldn't tell you why the folder vanishes but the files/folders need to be in SD:/install/ not SD:/wiiu/install/

Tried both!
Same thing happens.
Mii maker starts, then kicks up an error and it all vanishes!

always worked for me on sd:/wiiu/install

Am I downloading correctly from uTicketHelper? Input ticket, download files, place on SD.

Also be sure there are no special characters in the game folder. Maybe try a different downloader like WiiU USB Helper, Funkii-UI or JNUSTool

Hmm maybe it works with that structure as well. I just never tried it since all instructions I've ever read stated SD:/install

you could also try system config tool. afaik, installs can be anywhere with it. you actually have to navigate to the folder where the apps/games/dlc are. I've always placed them in the install folder though.

i suggest just download wii u usb helper on a computer or android device and just transfering them that way also i suggest using wup installer gx2

actually after thinking about it usb helper set it up like that for me

Thanks everyone. I will try a different downloaded and report back.

Just thought I would put this to bed.

Changed downloader to Wii U Helper instead and that worked.

Next issue I had was after install, games would work, then a USB error comes up loading a next level.
Tried turning off USB sleep mode, had has external power. Only fix was to install directly to system memory.

Just means less games installed at one time.
