When I try to install larger games 4+ GB the install fails. Tried a couple smaller ones that are under 1gb they install fine. Copying onto SD card via US helper. Any ideas?
Don't copy files directly off USB Helper to sd card just let them download to your computer, then copy to your sd card and see if that helps.
WUP Files are broken down into smaller parts that may add up to over 4 gb but there shouldn't be any single file that is over 4 gb so I'm not sure what's going on with that.
hi thanks for reply. Ok im installing straight to pc first then copying to sd card using usb helper. This all works successfully. now i run haxchi first and then run wup installer gx 2 and the file is there. I go to install and everytime it failes saying no game. Now i tried smaller games like minecraft etc that are under 1gb and they install to nand no prob. What am i missing? also there are no special characters. i tryed mario kart 8 and starfox and they both failed.
There is no reason to copy to sd card using usb helper, that's probably causing your problem. Just manually copy it over to the install folder on your sd card yourself from your computer. It's very simple to do.
ok tried again. downloaded star fox via usb helper then copied folder over to SD card manually. Went to install same way as always and this time its says failed: possible missing or bad title.tik file.
Any ideas? This was so much easier on the original wii lol
Everything looks correct. I'm really not sure, you could try redownloading it maybe some files got corrupted during download including the title.tik, or try another game. I'm pretty stumped myself. Should work.
The folder structure seems to be OK. I would rename the folder to just Starfox to keep it as simple as possible. Make sure the SD cart is FAT32 formatted (it should be, but just to be safe). And also, try another installer, like WUP installer Y mod >> https://wiiubru.com/appstore/#/app/wupymod
ye i already downloaded again, even formatted sd card and started again to make sure no issues there. Any half decent game will have the same result. if i try smaller games they usually install without issue. im guessing iso route is out of question?
Are you sure your sd card is not fake? That's the only explanation I can think of with it having issues with bigger files. Try h2test. I just don't see it's a problem with the games if you've repeatedly download them or Wup Installer GX2 which I've used to install hundreds of games.
