I was wondering, I've heard it's possible to use a DSi with WPA security (I've only got a DS Lite atm). However, I've heard it doesn't work with older DS games, as in you can't play online with them.

Is it possible to play Pokémon Black/White online with a DSi while using WPA security? Also, I'm using an Acekard 2i, will that change anything?

Yes, you can play DSi-enhanced games with a WPA Protection on a DSi/3DS, but only those. Regular DS games requires a WEP connection.

Not sure about the Acekard part, though I believe it would work.

First of all: The WPA security is only supported by the DSi, DSi XL and 3DS consoles. DS Lites won't work. Also, you will need a Cyclo iEvo as flashcard if you want to access a WPA security. Or at least the original game.

So what you need to access your router with WPA:

  • DSi, DSi XL or 3DS console
  • Cyclo iEvo Flashcard or real Pokémon Black or/and White cardridge

Acekard will not work! >.>
