A friend and me were talking about rejoining FFXI but hell I threw away all my items and money so I'm not up for it

BUT I'd like to explore and play the storyline of WoW, but I don't wanna pay for it since I don't have too much time.

Anyways, what's the best private server you guys know?

Thanks ^^

Burning WOW (http://www.burning-wow.com/home.html) IMO. It's 100% Blizzlike (same as original) unlike alot of other ones with stuff ranging from 8x EXP rates to 100x EXP rates. My friends and I all just went there a few days ago

it's a good idea to try the free trial accounts if you have a credit card. (they won't bill you they only need the info)

If not, it's not a bad idea to try the private servers, see if you like the graphics, WASD movement and so forth.

Many people don't like the graphics but i think it's the best graphics i've seen in an MMORPG so far and i have played alot of mmorpgs mostly F2P though

Private servers are terrible, and this is comming from somone who has been playing Real and Private for 2 or so years. If you really want to get the WoW experience you have to pay. Private servers just don't compare.

I play retail, and I have a mate who used to play private, private is so unbelievably shit, seriously.
Stop being tight arse and pay he $15USD a month.

I play retail, and have played in a private server, and, as many have said, private servers are shit.
Many skills don't work, many talents don't work, many quests don't work.
If you'd like to experience the story, i'd suggest you just pay a couple of months, and you'll enjoy a very good gaming experience coupled with a very good story.

If you're set on doing a private server, I'd suggest you find a blizzlike, that means the xp/drop rate is the same as blizzard, otherwise you'll just be plowing thru zones not doing much questing.
I've played on one called Wowscape, and it was pretty decent.

I used to play...I'm probably gona get back on long enough to get my only character to at least 60(but hopefully 70) and then sell it, so I can salvage a little bit out of what I put into it...

Pretty much every single Private Server out there is shit.

I've tried so many it isn't funny.

A few I can remember on the top of my head are:

Burning WoW: Welcome to Disconnect Land.
AniWoW: Anime + WoW? No thanks.
WoWscape: D/C's + Bad service? Oh lol.
Beyond WoW: Donators ruin everything with their donator weapons.

And that's a few off my head right now.

Never played retail, never really found the time/patience/money to play it. Fifteen bucks? Naw.

If you don't have too much time, don't play no-, don't even TRY WoW. WoW is the MMO of the DEVIL D: It will drain your soul until you become glued to your chair, only getting up to eat, and to go to the bathroom. Showers and other basic forms of hygiene would use too much time which could be better used raiding Molten Core trying to get the certain epic equip you want. Also Social life will become a myth.

No, i haven't played WoW, but i just know.

From my experience, WoW private servers just plain suck. Although they have higher rates, a lot of things are broken.

There ain't nothing like the real thing. WoW was one of those games where I actually paid attention to the storylines going through dungeons and doing quests.

I hate how people say not to play WoW because it's addicting. I swear anyone with a remote amount of intelligence can stop playing whenever they want to. The majority of people when they say it's addicting just think that the few horror stories there are, are what happen to everyone who plays.

On Topic: Seriously just play norm serv's, even if you don't have a lot of time an hour or two a night is easily enough.

Check out LOTRO. Great game. Not as much total content as wow, but with 360-style achievements that enchance your char, and the lotr setting make it a lot more fun imo.
