...if I dumped my console's certificate (and other tokens for DAuth) and started poking in their network using a PC? For example if I use the correct access tokens for https://sun.hac.lp1.d4c.nintendo.net and download an image of HorizonOS straight from their CDN.

Yes most likely they would.

We all used to download NSPs straight from their servers using a certificate from a Switch and an app on the computer, but Nintendo got tired of this so they made the process more difficult to fake and easier for them to detect. The people who managed to keep the downloading software updated to still work started keeping it private so it wouldn't get killed by Nintendo so quickly.

Maybe the servers for downloading firmware are less protected than the ones for downloading games, but idk. Worst case, you get your console's certificate banned.
