What is the seller name? I bought my Platinum on aliexpress as well but I can't seem to find any more card sellers there anymore. I really wish I got a Diamond or Pearl with the same quality as my Platinum: it has all the functionalities of an original, including connection with Wii games.

I feel like I would not have noticed that they were fake copies if you wouldn't have pointed it out. Especially with Pokémon Emerald. That looks pretty legit to me.

Here is the picture of Fire red. Originals should have shiny label unlike fake ones, also another 100% sure sign of original Pokemon cartridges are 2 numbers printed on label of the game. They are placed on the right side of the cartridge. Check my Pokemon ruby picture, If you don't see those numbers then cartridge is fake, it's really easy to see them if you know where you should look for them. Even if someone posts low quality picture (just like mine) you still should be able to see those 2 numbers.

i have legit cartridges, however i am missing leaf green, it's hard to find, while looking i just see fakes everywhere
in RSE the fakes can be easily spotted from the back, i had been asking for people to show the cartrige on the back, and they always end up having the little balls
but i will keep an eye for the little number, do each game got a specific number? or its a random one?

Well, in my case you probably wouldn't be able to tell looking at the cartridge itself (unless you opened it). The cartridge case, on the other hand, though very close to the original, has some mistakes in the game code written in the back and the letter font at the side is a little different than the actual DS font.

I have a few GBA bootlegs they can't be saved. They are looking like shit, bought them on "Marktplaats", a Dutch subsidiary of eBay, where people sell their sh!t to others, person to person. I bought it like 1-2 years back

I think they are random, but still I haven seen copy game with those numbers. Just keep eye on them.

Also another funny fact. If you check pictures of original and fake Pokemon Ruby which I have added to this post (original game- left one, Fake copy-right one), you will most likely noticed how original has kinda lower quality of a label than fake one. It's really clear how fake has better sharpness of a logo, but in a fact, on the original cartridge, Pokemon logo is more yellow, than on the fake one. On fake looks more orange. I find it funny how Chinese made label a little bit better than original one. Could be because fake was made at least few years ago, but original is old more than 14 years.

Also here are FAKE copies of D/P/P. If you check Platinum, you probably won't be able to see difference except booklet. Colors on it are washed out, but the box and cartridge are almost identical to the original. Same applies to the Diamond and Pearl, but their label on the box unfortunately isn't holographic, which kinda sux... But still, they look pretty awesome. All features are working (trading, battling..) Hopefully migrating from GBA is working also. Didn't checked it yet.

offtopic but XD I need japanese cover art for pokemon ranger Hikari no Kiseki (Guardina signs in english version ...) I have fond a good image of the front and not so good of the back, can't find of the corner :B I won the game onl cart condition and even bought a shitty game with a box that don't have half of the quality of these you shown XD (Lego: friends ... the box have a "recyclable" symbol cut out on the plastic for some reason, and no space for gba cart :v )

But well they are able to make stuff in great quality nowadays XD I really like it and make me want to get it .. and more, find someone who burn the games on these carts and ask for some customs.(if I don't need buy 10000 copies of it lol)
I wonder if they can also work as original (like, on updates 3DS for the DS games and work with link, connectivity to gc, DS games and all the stuff)

boxes here (in europe) are transparent-whiteish
in the pictures they look whiter but it can be the camera effect...

notice how the official ruby in the back there is big "gold" squares? probably from testing points or something...
so far the fakes don't have theese....

Color of the white box is identical to the genuine. I have original Pokemon HG and White, it's totally the same. Also yea, this is European box, funny fact is that if you order Eur version of game from China, you will get black box, but if you roder USA, you will get white.

well. that's aint no totally true...
i got some cartridges that i bought from store chain that didn't shake...

just double checked, my pokemon white 2 doesn't shake while the white does. both of them bought in the same big retail chain (media markt)

I'm just amazed by this one. Today I got genuine Pokemon leaf green (yaay). And comparing them side by side, you can't actually see the difference unless you take them apart. Only thing which really makes difference between those 2 cartridges, which can be easily seen are those 2 numbers on the right side of the cartridge. Left one is fake (doesnt have 2 numbers), right one is genuine. After taking them apart, there was no discuss about which one is real and which isnt. But still, this copy of game looks amazing. Holographic effect is the same. Check the pictures below.

P.S. difference in colors of cartridges is because of camera. They are identical, except fake cartridge is a little bit more transparent.
