Hacking Wood R4 vs Akaio

hey guys kiafazool here
wanting to ask what is the difference between Wood R4 and Akaio?
Just curious
are they they same? (except that one works on r4 and the other on acekard)

Acekard 2i supports DSi and larger MicroSD card, and is awesome with Akaio.

A R4 card that works with Wood R4 firmware can only use 2gb MicroSD card if im not mistaken.
(Never owned a R4 card.)

Essentially, they were built of the same root, the Acekard RPG OS. The difference? The card they can run off (obviously), its developers, and some features/ game compatibility. As for the GUI, its built off the same root.

2. already know about developers
3. what features?

So Game Compatibility and Update times are the only difference
so getting a r4 when someone already has acekard2i, is a wrong idea?

i dont think im a collector because PharaohsVizier comes under the heading of collector because he has like 10 ak2i and a gazillion other flashcarts

i only have a cheap clone R4 Ultra and a Acekard2i and a Acekard2i on its way to me which i am going to gift to my cousin

I wouldn't call r4ui cheap.......I had one, and the build quality was AWESOME!!!!!! They just stopped the updates which made it suck. If you have 6$ to spare, get it. Haha

Wood has features like instead of a single favorite to put on the home screen, you can put a folder. Wood was also first to disable icon animation; AKAIO came after and created the option too. Norm would have done that soon if someone asked XD I don't believe Wood has the ability to update loaders (yet).

YWG has close encounters with the AKAIO devs as he's help fix numerous Wii connectivity problems and such.
