Hacking Wireless downloading play

My friend just got a brand new DS and he wanted to link-play me on a couple of games and they didnt work. Does anyone know the problem to fix this issue? I just updated my Ak2i to the 1.5.1 firmware and my friend doesnt have his cart in his DS when we play.

The games that we attempted to play was:
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games
Pokemon Platinum


The ones that did work was:
The legend of zelda spirit tracks

Have you tried enabling download play for the selected rom in the AKAIO menu?

I'm pretty sure Pokemon Platinum doesn't support download play...

Yea, I've already enabled the sharing wifi play for the roms. I meant the battling/trading area for the pokemon games.

And how would you battle against someone who doesn't have pokemon? Pokemon games don't support download play, noob. I wonder why the mario & sonic games don't work, but if there's no fix now there probably never will be a fix since nobody cares about shitty games like those.
