Hi, I currently play the v8 patch.3ds. Im on 3 star (sorry just wanted to throw that in lol) my question is this, is their a .3ds version of the v9 patch?

Question! Is it possible to get the MHX DLC on a US3DS, or can it only be acquired on JPN3DS? There's no downloads for the DLC online, at least from what I see, so I'm wondering if it can just be downloaded in-game.

I just downloaded all DLC there was. I'm on Eur n3DSXL so i guess it's also available for you. How did you go about trying to donwload it?

Hi, I know its off-topic, but Im sure that a lot of guys here also play MH4U.
Im using a Gateway3DS (with MH4U EU version) and unfortunately i am unable to download all available DLCs. Could someone maybe help me somehow?

If I try to download the DLCs Im getting this error-code: 002-0123

1) If using the NTR plugin method, how do I go about applying the 1.1 update? Is it as simple as installing the cia?

2) Previously been playing on a JPN N3DS LL with a retail cart. What would I have to do to get the save transferred over? I know MHX does saves differently from before (in that it saves to the SD card now).

1. Yup, just install CIA.

2. You might need to install the ExtDataDump homebrew on the JPN N3DS and extract the save (There is a thread somewhere with the info on what to extract) then take the dump and transfer it to the other 3DS. I havent done this myself but i assume it would work.

From what I can gather, it looks like that tool should do the job. Wont know for sure until I finishing installing a few things.

From Google'ing, it seems like you have a bad header. Try another private header and correct it using the Gateway Rom Patcher.

Make sure you only extract the MHX files and not everything in ExtData since you dont want your whole JPN 3DS ExtData over on your oteher console - JUST the MHX files

Just Google your error. The savegame is stored in your SD card, it doesn't matter whether you're using Gateway or the cia file.
Alterntatively, just install the v9 cia found on that ISO website.

So, I am currently using v7 because I had found a .cia with that included, how would I go about updating? I tried using NTR, but it doesn't flash green when opening up the game, and it is mentioned that a N3DS is needed. I'm guessing NTR doesn't work on O3DS? (Running NTR 3.2 at the moment).
I can imagine I could back up my save, delete MHX 1.1 with v7 patch, install a .cia with v9 patch, update to 1.1, restore my save. If I did that would backing up and and restoring my save even be needed? Also is there any other way to update the english patch other than this one?

You don't need to restore your save. (backing it up is always recommend though)

Updating for cia:
either:
Update with a patched 1.1 update cia. (recommended)
or:
Update with a patched 1.0 cia. (way slower)

Afaik you don't need to remove the cia beforehand, just install over it.

Oh, so I can just patch an update .cia and then use that to update the english patch? Didn't think about this, yeah that should be really fast since the 1.1 update cia is way smaller than the actual game. Thanks for the help!
