initial release - heretic 3ds port.

https://github.com/elhobbs/heretic3ds/releases

you will need to get the HERETIC.WAD file separately and add it to the directory.

current issues:
controls need work - multiple keep bindings are not restricted from the config menu
occasional crashes
does not shutdown properly
some rendering issues/glitches
music playback can get messed up

Wow! A late night surprise! I'm in bed right now but I will test tomorrow morning! :yay:

Good stuff. I'm gonna have a quick play after putting God mode back on :P

EDIT: Even though it freezes on quit, the button combo to return to HBL still works.

Nice job ;) I still hope that your quake3 repository will end in a Release :D
I started working on heretic to take a break from quake3. It currently compiles and boots to a menu but the gpu hangs shortly after that. It takes a reeeaaalllyyy long time to startup. I hope to get it working though.

The cheats work with the keyboard. "quicken" is god mode. Heretic doesn't like if you try to use doom cheat codes though :)

That looks really cool, hope you can actually finish this :) Now if someone were to port brutal Doom...
Isn't brutal doom just a mod that requires a modified doom engine like gzdoom? Do you mean a gzdoom port or actually modify brutal doom to work with baseline doom engine?

Yes it is, obviously a port of the gzdoom engine would be amazing, since it would allow us to play whatever wads we wanted to, but it would probably be easier to modify brutal doom to work with vanilla doom. this is just wishful thinking though :P
