Here is our first attempt at a Windows XP theme for the Wii. DMCBudman and myself created it and hope to have it finished in about a week.

Ugh. I don't like it

. But, I do wonder how you are supposed to tell channels from messages...why I like the solid background

My only questions are what model tv and how do you like it?

It's a crappy Vizio VW32L 32" Wal-Mart version. It was a display model for 3 months and I got it when they had to get rid of it during inventory for $300 It has crappy NO BASS sound but for 300 i couldn't go wrong. 1366x768 LCD. But it's got full set of inputs including VGA so it makes an all around good gaming monitor and Isn't too bad for HDTV either. Not great, but no bad.

This is the FIRST menu mod that actually got me excited. Before, they all felt like badly done reskins. This one is a completely different feeling menu.

now this is a theme!

but the channels look too sharp, maybe you should smoothen the edges?

great job

Personally I don't like seeing the messages in the background, or the channel shape, but that is some very interesting and new customization, kudos kudos!

ur theme guys kick ass. It really sets the bar too far compared to other themes and even other consoles (imo) Good work

Looks pretty neat. definitely very good job at capturing the 'windows' feel.

I have no knowledge of custom the limits of CSM but can you resize the channels?

If you could shrink them and fit more on 1 screen, you could make them look like Icons on the windows desktop, starting from the top left.

That'd totally complete the look.

So far we've only been able to shrink the empty channels..... And that just ends up looking ugly

The main problem we're working on right now is the Button Sensing regions which are seperate from the actual channel graphics

You can see that the click regions are fixed at the center of channels, as I can even click on an empty space and get the Drag Box and move it around. I dont think we'll be able to assign click regions to follow the channels around though, which would be necessary for free movement. But who know, we might come up with something similar.

Very cool, I like mock themes like that. Pretty innovative looking as well. Wanted to tip my hat to you guys for your work. I wish I had the time to get into this. Eventually I'll get motivation and dabble after you guys do all the hard work and figure it out and let us lazy people get some knowledge. I look forward the release of this one thanks for sharing the preview. I know it's exciting when you make new discoveries, it'll be great when you know how to move everything around
