Yes Vista is bad, but at least run it in it's most proper form (unhaxored or properly done so). Run your stuff in VM (make sure to give it enough priority else it'll be sloooow) and find out it works better then Vista then switch to that

NEVER use such an early beta as your primary OS! Boot it in a VM, make a dual boot system, or play with it on a second physical computer.

Have all my movies, wii games, etc backed up onto a seperate hard disk,, so even if somehow the partition corrupts the whole disk, i should be fine.

Only problem i've had so far is that ever since i installed 2gb extra ram, i can't update my score.

Other than that no errors, no problems, just minor things that no one proably thought of.

I have installed Windows 7 Beta 1 for three weeks now and it's working fine here

All hardware devices are working great. No need to use internet to search a driver.
Everything worked here out-of-the-box.

Well the same goes for Windows Vista so I'm not sure that Windows 7 is better in that aspect.
