windows 7 not seeing second HDD?

so I got myself a new pc with a 250gb HDD. of course I needed more, so I put my old 250gb HDD in there as well. the BIOS sees and acknowledges the second HDD, yet windows doesn't see it. PLS help

go on control panel > administrative tools > disk manager

on disk manager create a partition for that hard drive and assign him a letter

be careful on selecting the right drive.

strangely I got a blue screen of death on my first attempt but it worked perfectly on my second one. thanks!
