    SO...
I installed Opera and move the directory ( the folder where i installed it)
and when i searched for it in the start menu(?)[the search bar]
something popped up and i clicked the one saying "choose the program to open it" thing..

And so, I searched for the opera icon and clicked it.

NOW, All SHORTCUTS , (and the programs icon in the taskbar), SHOWS the OPERA ICON with a paper background.

I Can't open a thing so i got no pictures to show you what it looks like,
SO PLEASE HELP!! How do i get the .lnk back to its original form!?!?

So basically what you've done is associated all .lnk files with Opera.
    Nice work.

    Download this.
    Extract and run Unassoc.exe
Find .Ink file type from the list.
Make sure .Ink is highlighted then click on Remove file association (User)
    Restart.
