I guess some people might've assumed it was just running at a higher clock rate?

It pretty much is, in pc hardware a higher binned cpu is usually clocked higher and has a different model name.

You can't running Windows Kernel on a no PC without source code... Only somes governments/army have access to the source code of Windows for doing stuff like that...

Well, it is technically feasible to produce a source code based on the binary kernel through reverse engineering (i.e. recreate a source code based on the binary). Sure nobody sane would go to that extent, but it can be done, e.g. Soviet Russia recreated the B-29 source code from a "pirated" binary after all.

There is a guy doing some videos of PS4 running latest Windows games/emulators using linux through Wine. Actually the performance aren't that bad if you lower graphic settings. Search "PS4 linux channel" on youtube.

A lot of the code will just run anyway, debugging it would be a bitch I'll give you that.
