I've just checked my wii serial and it's gave me these results:

Your Drive Chip is most likely GC2-D2C.

Your Drive Pins are most likely not cut.

I want a solderless install so I found http://www.osctime.com/product_info.php?products_id=177

Would this all work ok?

Probably...

Your legs won't be cut. No D2C chips have cut legs - tracker is weird about this.

How new is your wii? If it is newer than 2 or 3 months, it may be a D2C2.... in which case you need to get one of the new 9-wire chips - Wasabi V2 or D2Pro 9 V2...

I bought it in February so 4 months. I'm from the UK too if that means anything.

The site does say that its compatible with D2C2 though.

If it's from Feb... it'll be a straight up D2C - so the D2Pro will be fine.
