There's too much glory in hacking Nintendo consoles. It's just a matter of time.
The Xbox one actually was hacked, but there was a very slim period where this was possible. It was a fault of Xbox and they have since removed the app that allowed it to be hacked and updated/secured the software. Even if you had the proper update on your Xbox you can't download the CMD app to put in the hack anymore anyways. But as has been stated by many people, the Xbox one hasn't been hacked because they have dev mode so there's really no point other than doing it for piracy. No the xbox one was first![]()

Also, fundraising? Until a PoC is shown, one more reason to sound like a scam to me.

The Switch is already extremely secure. It's only known vulnerability is voltage fault injection. It's safe to assume Nintendo will require Nvidia to secure their Switch 2 chip against this. Nintendo is porting Horizon OS to the Switch 2.
How might the Switch 2 get hacked? Nintendo made some mistakes porting Horizon. Another form of fault injection is used. Nvidia has more security flaws in their chips. A yet undiscovered security glitch.
I'm buying a launch Switch 2 and keeping it locked down for a few years but am taking a risk by doing so. It may end up remaining unhackable and just lose resale value after the hypothetical Switch 2 OLED comes out.
Why would you say this (correct statement!) and then go on to link a "source" that is not that at all? Those SwitchTools posts are just switch2brew articles ran through ChatGPT.The only real data collection through analysis and reverse engineering is provided by SciresM, Hexkyz and Co. on the switch2brew site.

Changed my post. Thanks for pointing that out. Didn't realize this channel was very sloppy, but that's how I found out about the Switchbrew site in the first place. I thought this served as a good summary of the initial realization of how the boot parts are segmented in the Switch 2.Why would you say this (correct statement!) and then go on to link a "source" that is not that at all? People in the know say even a hardmod will be very difficult, so softmod is basically never going to happen. But I would still like to believe.I truly think the community wil find a way to hack and even softmod the switch 2 given some time.
It might however be like the switch 1 that only earlier models can be softmodded.
What would also be interesting if they are able to remove the ban that keep happening for people with mig cartridges. At least for long enough to be able to change the Nintendo user, because as of now you cannot reset the device, log out of the account or go online.
Personally I don't need online play and could use a bricked switch 2 as long as I can load and play my games offline.
