Hacking Will the game save if I install hacks like this?

Ok, so I am currently confused with how things should be set up in the end before inserting the SD card into my wii...

Should the ROOT of the SD card contain...

A boot.elf from Riivolution
A RiiVolution folder containing a NewerSMBW.xml along with it's other stuff (And it's boot.elf it came with before)
The NewerSMBW folder with it's normal stuff...
A Private folder containing the letterbomb...

Am I missing anything that would be bad? Or am I including too much, saying the instructions say to have the boot.elf at the root, and then later don't even mention it...

(Also, that side note, will it work?)

Thanks to anyone who answers!

You a have a picture with a preview of the SD folder and file structure on the site you linked

http://newerteam.com/help/graphx/sd-preview.png

add boot.elf to that and you're ready to go

to play newer super mario bros. than you would need to make an app folder on the root of your sd card than put the riivolution folder on the root of the sd card. then put the riivolution folder with mario bros xml in it and put the newersmb folder on the sd card root to.

This is only if you have the homebrew channel or want it.

I was just asking if it is possible to run Wii64 in the same way, and I assumed it has a boot.elf? And if so, do I just swap the boot.elfs to run the Wii64?

no, i don't think so

step 1: is your wii softmodded? if not, forget about it

you should softmod it, and then, use the proper files and method for wii64
