R4 is not the term. The correct term is "flashcard" or "flashcart". R4 used to be a name for one flashcard. Now it is for a bunch of clones.

I like playing DS games on my NDSL and 3DS games on 3DS. DS games don't load as well on 3DS.

Games load fine if you don't have a shit flash card and microsd. The only complaint people have is the soft blur on the games due to the stretching to make the games fit their proper resolution on a screen that has a different aspect ratio, resolution, and pixel density.
