Hacking Will performing a system transfer prompt the system upgrade?

So i have two 3DS at 9.2 and i wanted to do a system transfer between them and i was wondering if doing that would prompt the system update.

IIRC you have to update to system transfer, I believe you would have to update both of them.

If you have a Gateway flashcart you should (I think!) be able to do the System Transfer thingummybob via EmuNAND. Just go to your EmuNAND and update the EmuNAND to 9.4 via Settings.

I haven't got my Gateway flashcart yet so haven't tried this myself. I'm sure someone will correct me if I've got that wrong!
