Hi. So I have been using Atmo for almost 6months now. When I got the Switch I did a clean Nand Backup, I then setup EmuNand and installed everything. Meanwhile I did mess with the SysNand and Atmo since I had no plans to play online anyway - well that changed. I would like to play Online with a friend and I’m not sure if there is any chance to fix my doomed SysNand. Btw. I always used 90DNS and never went online in CFW. Also my Nintendo Account is still accessible when logging into it on my PC...

greetings.

Did you install any NSP files onto your sysNAND? Did you run any homebrew applications on your sysNAND? If so, which homebrew applications?

If your sysNAND is dirty, you might want to restore your clean NAND backup before using it to play online.

I installed one NSP or XCI on the SysNand, everything else is on the SD Card. Basically I run everything, both HB and Games from SD Card.

You think restoring the dirty Nand will prevent a possible ban? I

If you made a clean NAND backup before doing anything related to CFW then yes, restoring that should prevent a possible ban. I hope you also backed up your boot0 and boot1 ? You'll need to restore these as well for the restoration to work.

OP only needs boot0 and boot1 if restoring to an earlier firmware

True, I assumed that it was probably the case but maybe not. And if he didn't backup boot0 and boot1 he could still downgrade to the firmware of his clean backup and then do the boot0 and boot1 backup.

Your only choice is to restore your clean NAND backup. Doing so should heavily reduce the risk of a ban.

okay so I have checked my Backup and it looks like I "only" have the raw Nand backup :/

As a general rule. If you EVER use any hacks. Just count on a ban. It's much easier to think like this.
It's not until a hardware solution for example the DragonNAND version comes out, we will be much more secure.

I'm not sure which FW I was on when I did the Backup :/ is there any way to find out? Currently I'm on the latest 9.1.0
You can use this tool to check what FW your clean rawnand.bin backup is on : https://gbatemp.net/threads/firmware-version-inspector-get-fw-version-from-nand-dump.515308/
After that you'll need to get the boot0 and boot1 of this firmware. One possible way to do that is to downgrade your sysNAND to the same FW as your rawnand.bin with ChoiDUjourNX (don't forget to check the factory reset option or your switch won't boot after being downgraded), and then to backup the boot0 and boot1 with hekate. If you pair these boot0 and boot1 with your clean rawnand.bin and restore all that it should work.
Needless to say, before doing this you should first do a full backup (rawnand, boot0 and boot1) of your current 9.1 "dirty" sysNAND and put it somewhere safe on your PC, so if anything goes wrong with the downgrade you can always restore these and go back to where you are right now.

It would be easier and safer if you could do the downgrade part on an emuMMC partition and then backup boot0 and boot1 from said emuMMC, unfortunately hekate doesn't allow to backup directly from emuMMC partitions for now. It is a planned feature though, and CTCaer wrote in his last hekate/nyx update "Lastly, keep an eye for the big Nyx update" so it may very well be added quite soon and waiting for that option is also a possibility.

If you can follow the above advice on how to figure out which system version the NAND backup is, you can generate the proper BOOT0/1 files (or download them) to go with the backup.

Alternatively, you can forget the clean NAND backup altogether and just use the homebrew tool Haku33 to wipe and clean your sysNAND.

Ho I was wondering if it would be possible to download them also ? Boot0 and boot1 don't use any console specific keys ?

They do include console-specific information, but it's possible to generate or download BOOT0/1 files without the console-specific information, and when you install them, it keeps the console-specific information already installed.

awesome. I will check everything and get back to you guys. I never did a downgrade so I’m kinda worried :)

Why don’t you just connect your switch to the WiFi like normal and see, if you have been issued a ban, it will be banned nothing can change this or stop this from happening my odds on you won’t be as long as you have been honest in your opening post on what you have done.

My Nintendo account is still working, isn’t this an indicator that I’m not banned? I know that the ban is hardware specific but the account is an indicator?!

It’s working on your switch you can access eshop? Your pc account doesn’t count your switch can still be banned and show active on a web browser as well as your subscription still being live, it makes no odds.
