Lol I'm still using loadiine. Maybe I'll check this out sometime when I get the chance. Would be nice to switch to the latest and greatest.
You should, but I would just install CBHC over a ds vc and set system menu. Then you are using the latest and greatest

  • Play all game discs and eShop games, regardless of region
  • Backup, edit, and restore saves for many games
  • Play games for older systems with various emulators, using RetroArch or other standalone emulators. (Works best with a New Nintendo 3DS)
  • Install homebrew titles to your system, and have them appear on your HOME Menu
  • Dump your discs to a format you can install, and play them without needing the disc
  • Safely update to the latest system version without fear of losing access to homebrew

Sound like a ripoff of 3DS.guide, except they tried to make it wii u based by replacing game card with disc. :P

Well i guess if it was him, make sense. :P

I didn't use that guide, i found one on github. hub.com/FlimFlam69/WiiUTutorial/wiki
It worked for me although all i did was have a NDS game for haxchi, and install it for autoboot mocha cfw by default with no CBHC REDNAND business. I prefer the least brickway possible, until a more definite solution like true CFW is done, on 3DS or psp :P

Great. More noobs installing redNAND again. Here come all the new "redNAND isn't working" threads.

When are guide makers gonna explain to people that redNAND is NOT the recommended solution for noobs. Hell, it's not even really valid for most advanced users.

PSA: HaxChi is recommended CFW.
Mocha is recommended if you cant/aren't willing to buy a 10 dollar DS game.

It's that simple.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

In my opinion anything other than CBHC is pointless for most users. CBHC will allow you to pirate every game and dlc that's available in the easiest way possible ATM, that's what most users want. I bet most of them never launch any homebrew except WupInstaller.
