I hope to test this out in the near future. I want to play Castlevania Symphony of the Night and Final Fantasy Tactics - as I never had a PSX and have heard great things about those games (and that they work acceptably well on WiiSX). Anything else I should look in to?

SaGa Frontier 1

So it seems gameplay (the most important part) is awesome, its just sound that needs work. SFX is buggy. How many games have you guys played with listenable BGM?

personally as long as my games have music (execpet for bust a move 4) i'm fine with it..

Just finished trying Valkyrie Profile, and everything except the sound works fine until you get to a battle.
the battles are broken and kinda unplayable, so i wouldnt consider VP playable yet.

Grandia

Dynarec

Cutscenes and Gamestart menu run 70-90 fps

Voice acting not sync very well to text

Towns/Out Doors run @ ~65 fps, Background music in town is
tolerable to listen to.

Indoors ~ 87 fps

Field/Dungeons ~85 fps

Battles ~ 60-70 fps

Saving works

Runs well - extremely playable

This is a two disc set, only disc 1 tested ;p

Hi,

I'm new here, but I'm posting something I think most users will like
wink.gif

I just added Classic Controller support to WiiSX (removing the GC controller code), and got permission from the authors to distribute this simple change I made - they only asked for me not to post the link on the official site, so there are no confusions about who made what.

I claim no credit over anything - I know nothing about PSX emulation or writing Wii homebrew code - I just got devkitpro, looked around on google a little bit, and implemented what needed to be done, specially because I don't have a GC controller and wanted to see this wonderful emulator working

The changes I made were just on Joy1, and I also made the Home button to go back to HBC. The changes in the source, as the new boot.dol are published on my blog: http://www.icongames.com.br/slotblog/2009/...sic-controller/

Hope you guys like it!

P.S.: Since I can't post about it on the official site, is there any major Wii website/forum I should post this?

Thank you the gamecube pad was getting cumbersome.

Very nice thanks for the update! Do you think you might be able to also hack/add usb hd loading (like whats been done already in PCSX Revolution)?

Good work!

With permission from SLotman to use the Controller code and the WiiSX team ill make some modification such as HD loading, gui etc.. will work on some of it later this evening.

Great work SLotman but the face buttons are not properly aligned A is X, B is O etc. when ideally it should be B = X, Y = Square, X = Triangle, and A = O also personally for me I preferred the R/L1 as L and R and R/L2 as the ZL/R buttons I was able to change it easily for myself with the source you provided just thought I'd give you a heads up.

P.S. If anyone wants to make said changes for themselves its pretty self explanatory in the PlugPad.c file in the source changes SLotman provides on his blog.

HD loading would be great seeing as the size of most psx games is pretty huge.

Good luck with adding that.

Ive had to dig up all my old PSX games, sadly all my good ones (spyro series, crash bandicoot series etc) were stolen years ago. Ive got nothing good now, just a bunch of movie related BS and demo discs, just one thing, is this emulator region free?

emupaul you have a fair idea what your'e doing, why don't you speak with the team? they are looking for more helpers with code, since they are allot more busy talking/developing wii64, just though you might wan't reminding

I know enough to get me around

not nearly enough about psx emulation however, but ill snoop around the source and contribute what I can.
