how to?....

put the common-key in the same directory as the program and name it: "key.bin"
open the program....
step 1) Check "Force Wii Disc" (just in case)
step 2) Select a Wii ISO
step 3) Click "Scrub"....wait for it....close afterward.
step 4) Rar(preferably multi-) with "best" compression.

Thanks for that. But you've got multiple options in 1.31 like:

Save Options: ISO | DIFF | BOTH
Scrub Type: 0xFF | TRUCHA
Keep Headers: YES | NO

What are the differences?

EDIT: No worries, sorted

yea, I don't know what they do....but I just leave em alone, which is why I've forgotten they were there. :-D

welll, I do know what they do...

save options means keep just the new iso, or get the diff file between the two or both (I dont know why you'd want just the diff file)
scrub type: maybe trucha would work better now and again, but then scrubbed discs lose compatibility
keep headers: I know literally what it means, keep or remove headers, no idea how it affects anything though.

I went with just ISO as I'm not bothered about restoring at a later date. Scrub type left at 0xFF and I didn't keep headers as according to the FAQ it doesn't matter either way, but keeping them increases overall size by about 150MB for your average disc.

Hi Guys, newbie to the Wii scene, but I have a basic understanding of how this stuff works in general. I've modded Xboxes, PSPs, etc. Anyway, I've scrubbed my ISO and it's ready to compress. I want to have a final compressed .ISO of 4.37GB so I can burn it but I can't figure out how to compress ISO to ISO. Everyone keeps talking about compressing with WinZip or WinRar but those won't compress to ISO! Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Let me guess, you want to Compress brawl to 4GB so you can fit it on a DVD?

Well, you can't. Dual layer games don't work to my knowledge. Wii scrubber is used for storage compression. Meaning, you are compressing it so you can upload/download/transfer easier.

To get the best results, take the ISO, scrub it, put it in a folder, and then add it to the archive with winrar.

Damn, talk about busted! I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. I see PAL versions of Brawl all over the place at 4GB, is it not DL like the NTSC version?

Actually you can

Just use the buggy 1.0 version of Scrubber as it only copies the first layer, there are guides all ver the place that tell you how to do it.

Oh yeah, There are 4GB versions of Brawl, you can just download the PAL versions at 4GB and force NTSC it. But beware, the 4GB versions don't have cutscenes and a few other features. Or you could just do what the above poster said and scrub it with the earlier version of Wii scrubber and use that.

Hi. I have a scrubbed ISO file, but I don't have the DIFF file.
I downloaded the WiiScrubber 1.3. But can I unscrub the image without the DIFF file?? I tried, but it keeps asking me the DIFF file.

Please help!!

Thanks.
Best regards.

Read the FAQ in with the program.

[FAQ] A7/Step 2 -> "Choose the ISO image to unscrub and the choose the DIFF file to use"

>> I don't have the DIFF file, but...

[FAQ] Q15 -> "Do I have to unscrub an image before burning it?"
A15 -> NO

>> I tried burning a scrubbed ISO, and didn't work. It should work??

Thanks.
