Is there such a thing as a wired-battery for the Wiimote?

I'm interested because I'd like to use the Wiimote to play with a traditional controller plugged to it and recharging and/or swapping batteries would defeat the purpose of being wired.

So by any chance is there a Chinese seller who's gone one of these things for sale?

How would that work exactly? :wtf:
You want it plugged into the Wii USB ports and dangling down like a power brick when you play?

Wouldn't this be a bit... useless? Batteries are the best solution to controllers. Wireless is better no?

There are advantages and disadvantages to both, so it's a matter of opinion. Though, most consoles sit far enough away to make wireless the prefered choice.

As for a solution, it wouldn't be that hard to make a Wiimote powered by a cord running to it.

Yeah, wired to USB like a normal wired controller.

That's really strange. I doubt anything like this exists but you could certainly make it yourself. All you really need is a step-down voltage regulator that can regulate it down to somewhere in the 2.4-3.0V range (a bit lower or higher might work too), a donor USB cable, a soldering iron, glue and some time. If you want you can mod it into the battery door, they sell replacement battery doors cheaply so you don't have to mod the original one. That would make it possible to switch to batteries at will.

Best thing is either soldering it or using super glue to have the USB cable always on. Kinda like this below.

It's an awkward thing but Wii nor Wii U have a port for the Classic Controller on it so it doesn't leave much choice.
