Wiimote on Android?

So I'm trying to pair a wiimote to my old tablet to play games with a controller ( I only have wiimotes cause I'm broke) and I've tried app after app for pairing wiimotes to Android but nothing will work, if it helps, my device is a kindle fire tablet (Android 5.0).
If anyone can help, please reply

The one app that used to work no longer exists.
I'm unaware if there's another one that will work. But I'm assuming they won't.

Can't you like get a 2nd hand cheap Bluetooth controller? Or like a cheap old PS3 USB Controller and sn adapter?

Google changed some things on Android after version 5 (I believe), that no longer allow us to use a Wiimote on any newer Android version.

The "issue" has already been reported countless times, but Google doesn't care and will not fix it.
