I'm about to hack my Wii (RVL-001) to use stuff like Wiimmfi. I was wondering if it needs to have standby mode active. I'm asking because I realized that the Wii was in standby mode. And in doing so made it extremely hot. I than researched a tiny bit to realize standby mode is kinda dangerous and has no use of turning on anymore. I know how to make it not go into standby mode, but I'm wondering. Since Wiimmfi uses online connectivity, some of which (I'm assuming since I'm still quite new to Wii Homebrew lmao) is WiiConnect24. Will I need to leave it in standby mode to use Wiimmfi?
