.

I have a few 16 GB usb drives that I use on mplayer ce, but WiiMC won't recognize them. If that would get fixed, I would totally go back to WiiMC.

Or maybe I'm just an idiot who is doing something wrong... that is entirely possible too.

I have never been able to get network to work. Really annoying as I use WiiMC daily.
Do I enter my IP? My routers?
What user and pass? My PCs?

I finally fixed it using this very helpful guide: http://www.wiimc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1300

If you have problems after automatic updating from 1.2.2 to 1.2.3 with
non-english letters (German, Greek, Turkey, Spanish, Hungarian and so on)
download the new WiiMC under Windows and copy it to your SD-Card.

This fixed the problem for me.

I have gone through some guides (the one you linked included) but never was able to make network work here :/
I haven't fond the problem yet u.u

annoying stuff..

is the latest version crashing very often for anyone else? more than half the time it pauses up when trying to watch video's that worked on previous versions.

Yes. Player freezes after a minute of watching video. After waiting for a moment it returns to playlist and says "network connect lost" or something like that.

Have not tryed to downgrade yet. But I really think that it's because V1.2.3

There are def some issues with this release. I never have any issues but I am losing connection, can't find smb shares and numerous others. I guess I will downgrade for now.

I find that MPlayer-CE is more stable than this. Although... since ever HBC 1.1.0 was released, I might give this another go, once the bugs have been given a good comb through and fixed.

Just to add my experiences, I have never had any problems with WiiMC, except if I am watching a DVD and pause it, then try to resume (usually crashes with DSI Exception in this case).

How often do you use internet radio? That's what I use WiiMC for most, and it's always crashing on me. It's still more stable than WiiRadio though.

only issue i ever have with it is that some films will ffwd/rew some wont , nothing especially different about the encoding used just seens random.. but rarely used feature anyways.

Never. Only really DVDs and the occasional video from SMB or SD/USB.

Was hoping I could get a quick bit of help with this.

I was trying to use WiiMC for the first time in probably a year, and when it auto-updated I don't think it's compatible with the old cIOS I was using. None of my old, previously working files would play. So my question is what's the latest and great in cIOS that would be compatible with WiiMC (and USB Loader GX).

Thanks for the help.
