Whats the best idea to get a new mod chip... I know the Wiikey was wired in, so would someone be able to still get it to work with a drivekey maybe

WiiKey still works 100% with everything released. No need for updates, yet. Probably never.

I've had a few Game like mad world, my sims party not work, so I thought maybe it was the old hardware... but good I don't have to deal with that yet Thanks

Check the hacking section, there's information on installing the required IOS's to get them working.

I believe you'd have to do it regardless of your modchip.

I just wish they fix the broken 6x/3x disc speed option. It's like having a softmod.

The non-galaxy version reads at 6x, doesn't it?

better get the wiikey2, its only a little bit more expensive but supports 6x readspeed and gamecube audiofix

I know it was broken when they release the firmware to read Brawl/dual-layer disc.

I too have a WiiKey v.1, and I've never messed around with homebrewed channels or anything, just backed up games. But it's basically been gathering dust for months now, so I'm curious as to what I've missed. Do I need to now update my IOS through homebrew channels and the like?

my wiikey v.1 supports 6x speed, as long as you update the firmware.
