Hacking wiikey autoboot help

so basically i banner bricked my wii, so i bought a wiikey w/ wiiclip so i could autoboot wad manager and uninstall the bad channel. but after installing the chip and burning the wad manager from here, the disc never boots up, just goes to the health screen, plays the startup sound and then a black screen.

i even tried setting up some backups i have to autoboot but that doesnt work either. can someone help me out?

Are you running 3.3 firmware? If so, you won't be able to run wad manager discs - because they're trucha signed.

I've had problems getting my wii to auto-boot games too. I'm not sure if it's because of 3.3, or my chip (Wasabi v1). If you have 3.3 and twilight hack savegame on the wii, or are running 3.2, you may need to get savemii.
