I see various options here.
1-Your wiikey is not correctly installed; - It is, it gives the red/blue light sequence and it loads the config disc.
2-You have a defective chip/clip/both; - as above
3-Bad soldering; as above
4-Fake chip/clip/both; - It's genuine, the wiikey came with the hologram, and ozmodchips is known for this as they are an offical
5-Bad installation; See 1-3

after that turn the Wii on, insert a Wii game from your OWN REGION.
This is probably why mine isnt working. I was playing with wiiregionchanger homebrew thingo, and i changed my wii to ntsc. Even though my wii is 3.4E, Pal games wont work, and only the US config disc loaded.
I guess that's all, it worked for me... not a problem until now.
Wiikey 2 + Wii-Clip v14, 100% flawless!

If this doesn't work you may have a defective chip/clip/both or a bad solder, return it and ask for a replacement.

Good luck

Oh well...I'll probably end up having to buy an NTSC game....anyone know where i can get any crap one for as cheap as possible?...other than ebay.?

Yes, the diagram for the Wiikey install shows that some of the connections are only to be connected for certain driverboards. If they're all connected this may cause issues. Look at the wiikey2 install diagram.

Thats true, and some of the wires on my one arent connected, like the last 4 or something...

ITS FREAKING GENUINE!!!
THERES NOTHING FKN WRONG WITH THE CHIP.
Geez....
Again, my wii is Pal, but thinks its NTSC. Is there any way i could make a disc like the wiikey config disc, except instead of loading the wiikey config, loading the region changer?

what chip does your drive have and what clip version have you got, because the wiikey2 could even work with other clips but it's needed to be soldered differently. you didn't even mention that.

DMS, clip 14 or something.
but again, theres nothing wrong with the chip. It's my wii, i configured it as NTSC (US) using regionchanger in homebrew. Is there anyway to change it back using a gamecube disc of some sort?

you changed your region without zelda or the hbc. did some voodoo?
I initially did so with HBC.
But then when i went to change it back, it didnt work. I thought that formatting the wii might help, but that only deleted HBC and other channels, but the wii remained the same.

Have you tried running the "WiiKey 2 Update/Config Combined Disc v1.2 - European Region" to update your WiiKey again?

Have you tried running the recovery disc?

Perhaps this is your problem:
"REGION FREE ACTIVATION
For region free, you must load
an OWN REGION game disc
following installation for this
feature to be activated!"

Have you tried running an Wii NTSC backup (a real NTSC backup, not a region changed one)? or does it require an original Wii disc?

European config disc doesnt work.
I have tried running an NTSC backup, that didnt work either. I'll try buying some cheap NTSC game from ebay, but thats hard because almost no one in australia has some...

What about removing the WiiKey2 and putting HBC back on your Wii using the newest version Twilight Hack? Then hopefully you can run the "AnyRegionChanger" and get your Wii back to PAL mode.

So if i get an NTSC game should that fix stuff up?
And if that doesnt work, if i send it to nintendo will they be like "oh no u were trying to mod ure wii, we aint gonna fix it for u!"

Can't you set the region patching with the NTSC disc to EU (is your Wii PAL?)?

Aside from that you might be able to patch the PAL config disc to NTSC and try that.

If all that fails, what it looks like to me (and I've only skimmed the topic here) is that you switched your region settings to something you don't have (every disc gets patched to NTSC instead of the wanted PAL). Those settings are on the WiiKey though so removing that should let you run everything again. If you want to you could then install / run the twilighthack to install the HBC again.

At that point you might be able to change that region setting again on the WiiKey *though I wouldn't really know how, I suppose you could run the dol from the PAL config disc from the HBC? Maybe use a backup loader to start the PAL config disc?*.

So u mean download the Europe config disc, and change it to US? Yes my wii is pal, i bought it in australia.
Yes i did change the region. but there is no setting on the wiikey to change the region back. I'll try patching the euro config disc now....
