Hacking WiiKey 2 and D2Pro

I got a question about these 2 things that are different from each other O.o.

WiiKey2 : # Rock solid performance with 3.3V FPGA core and high quality components
D2Pro : # Rock solid performance with 1.5V FPGA core and high quality components

I was wondering whats the difference does this mean WiiKey2 will play even better/smoother then the D2Pro or wat O.o.(Sorry if this is a stupid question)


Also another one
WiiKey2 : # Multifrequency Ringpiece Oscillators (MRO) for optimum performance, even with problem drives
What does this even O.o.
 
Long story short... the D2Pro uses an Actel FPGA chip (Field Programmable Grid Array) - and the Wiikey2 uses a Lattice FPGA chip. They do more or less the same thing, they are 2 companies in opposition with eachother - the lattice chip is cheaper.

Oscillators are used to generate clock signals - the better this is designed, the more likely it is to work on every wii.

It's a bit early to tell if the wiikey2 will have problems with some drives or not... but the d2lite seems to be quite solid - and the wiikey2 is prettymuch identical.
 
Wiikey 2 LOL

Took those numbskulls almost a year to get GC 'audio streaming' working. Then 2 updates later break it again. It's weird how no other chips had trouble with 'audio streaming' even the homebrew one which is far superior to the original wiikey.

Wiikey Support = Run by chimpanzees
