I've seen that Wiiflow improved a lot since the last time I upgrated it : great job guys !
I'd like to upgrade up to Wiiflow-Mod, but to be honest I'm completely lost withe the new features. It is possible to play Wiiware and VC games directly from Wiiflow (I used to use Mighty Channels), NGC Games from an SD card, and even to play emulated Games !!
Actually, I'd like someone to explain me precisely how to proceed, because it seems really complicated, much more than it was 2 years ago. If such a tutorial already exists, then please post it !
Thanks guys (and girls of course !) and have a nice day.
First off you'll want to grab Wiiflow-mod from it's google code page: http://code.google.com/p/open-wiiflow-mod/downloads/list (Latest SVN is usually the best)
Download the plugins pack from here to load classic ROM's from Wiiflow: http://code.google.com/p/open-wiiflow-mod/downloads/detail?name=WiiFlow_Plugins_Pack_v2.7z&can=2&q=
DIOS MIOS Lite must be installed to properly use GC games from the SD Card. Read more on that here: http://gbatemp.net/topic/307341-dios-mios-lite/page__fromsearch__1
Download Cover art for classic games to use with the emulator plugins here: http://gbatemp.net/topic/324714-cover-collections-for-emulators-with-cover-support/page__p__4177128#entry4177128
If you don't understand anything after checking those threads out just ask.
I also wonder which cIOS I have to install, particularly for playing VC and WW games from Wiiflow ? The games once I played on Mighty Channels don't seem to work at all on my new Wiiflow-mod... Thank you !
Seriously, thanks a lot. I'm quite curious : why the r431 release can't do what was possible on r348 ? I mean, i consider that booting Wiiware games is much more important than playing a GameGear game directly from Wiiflow, in my opinion... Good work, keep going cause your work is amazing !
Well, I removed wiiflows linker script and that introduced quite alot of problems (reason why this time two weeks was no release), everything broke, wii game launching, homebrew launching, gamecube game launching and channel launching. After reading the code I found out why and fixed everything properly, I just dont understand the channel launching code properly, that makes me problems. For me it works for some reason now btw, dont ask why I know they are people where it still doesnt, but me and overjoy keep working on it, overjoy already rewrites most of the nand emulator code atm, as I needed to do for wii game launching
