People had the "Disc_SetUSB failed"-error before and now a friend of mine is facing this error message. How did you solve this situation? Next time i speak to him i will help him to check if he has the latest cIOS X installed + Hermes and stuff, but maybe you can help him out anyway.

If he's using anything other then WBFS drive, he'll need a new(er) cios.
Seconded on that. I tried running Donkey kong country returns on rev17 yesterday, and it showed me this same error. I just configured it to use rev20 again and all was good.
