Hehe, well then I hope it will work.
Just finished a dynamic emulator plugin system btw, the only thing which now needs to be hardcoded are the bannersounds for it, everything else comes via ini:

Place the inis into wiiflow/plugins, together with the emulator dols, and the boot.dol goes to apps/wiiflow. See if wiiflow still finds the game, thanks for testing :)

I take it with this we could use the original DOL's in the apps folder as our plugins. I assume we have to use the mod DOL's even then, though. Do the mod emulators work like when run directly from the HBC? Do they work like the original version or like the Cover Mod versions?

No that doesnt work, the emulators still need to be modified ;) The mod emulators work like they wait to get arguments with from where to load the rom, if they dont get these arguments or cant load the rom in it they just return to system menu. I don't think some emulator already got the arguments support used in wiiflow ;)

The new categories check boxes look terrific, thanks!

Fix94 - I am having some problems with r246. r245 works fine with no dumps but r246 crashes every time I try and rebuild the cache as well as it looks like it is recreating the lists at startup since it takes over a minute to startup. r245 doesn't show the problem.

All - I've updated the categories.ini with the latest gametdb.xml and new 20 categories. Since we have 20 categories now I don't consolidate general and others anymore.

The link for it is: http://www.mediafire.com/?uklt8cnwt0c2uuc

Please let me know if you have any trouble.

Thanks!

I tried 245 with the emulators, and had some problems. First I tried just my snes A games and they worked fine, then I added the B games and when I would launch one (Batman Forever) it would launch a different game. Also I noticed that some games launch fine when there's just a few games in the folder (lion king) but with all the games in the folder, it would return to the wii menu.

Tested latest rev and found a bug: cannot go to homebrew mode by clicking (only via shortcut)
Also cannot adjust coverflow for Homebrew view from within the program
Many crashes/freezing especially when changing modes (even when Emumode is off)
Homebrew cache error displaying correct icon.png when 2 or many titles has same first 8 letters

Since Homebrew mode has its own view mode now I updated the ini files once more
changes are 4 new view modes
new carbonic homebrew view
fixed long titles one more time

I love hearing all the talk about emus, but my issue relates back to the core of WiiFlow. I use one of the original HDD format configurations (FAT32 + WBFS), and neither the new WiiFlow nor the new WiiFlow Advanced will see my drive. What am I doing wrong? If I go back to my old WiiFlow v2.2rc1, my drive is detected fine.

See r247 please, I now added cache finally ;)

Ok just try 246 with last emul dol and everything run great.
I put all emuls and plugins dir on sd card because sometimes vbagx erase my fat32 usb partition !
Just need :
-good banner sound
-genplus return to wiiflow (actually it return to wii menu)
-better cover gestion (maybe not the same size for all emu)

Hi, that maybe can be because of the cIOS I think, you should try the latest d2x v9 beta.
The WiiFloWiki actually says to use v8b1(r41). So, I tried that and v8final. Neither worked. I will try v9b, and report back. Thanks.
Okay... Here's my report...

d2x v9beta DID NOT work with WiiFlow Advanced (r426) or WiiFlow (r426 3.0 Alpha 3). It DID, however, work for WiiFlow Mod (r247).
Although WiiFlow is still my favorite USB Loader, I'd just like to say that it is EXTREMELY frustrating trying to keep up with the different iterations of it! ...especially, when the documentation is obsolete or impossible to find.

B-)

yeah! finally got snes9xgx to work. Strangely had to back up snes9xgx folder and apps\snes9xgx folder then replace the apps\snes9xgx boot.dol with snes9x-gx.dol and rename it boot.dol and then run it via HBC once.

then I had to delete all my sub directories in my roms folder because apparently WiiFlow snes9xgx doesn't like subfolders. the games show up but if you try to play one it just returns to system menu.

Does this sound right Fix94?
