BScrk released Wiiero v 1.0, a Liero clone for Wii written from scratch.

Wiiero is a Liero clone specially developed for Wii.

Liero is a free computer game for DOS. It was created by the Finnish programmer Joosa Riekkinen in 1998. The game is often described as a real-time version of Worms, or a 2D version of Quake III. Liero is a fight game between two worms armed with heavy weapons of all kinds battling in underground caves. Its last release was version 1.33, released in 1999.

Wiiero is a clone of Liero specially developed for Wii. I have done my best to provide the wiiero players with the same excitement as Liero. You play Wiiero exactly the same way as you played Liero: same game modes, same original weapons, coming with new ones like vermifuge, holy grenade, or even plasma canon! Wiiero is a two player game, using the wiimote alone or both wiimote and nunchuk.

Woah, I used to love the original!

If this had online support... It's already a must-play. Think of it like Worms but real-time instead of turn-based.

Yeah, i used to play Liero quite alot back in the days

then i heard of "liero Xtreme" which was a online multiplayer version of it, and i still use to play that today, it got LOADS of mods, with extra weapons and such, and a huge library of downloadable maps.

This version though.. still got alot to improve on, the pshysics and controls feels weird, but it's a good start!
