Hacking Wii Update Remover

This is regarding the program that removes the update on the DVD9 dump, since brickblocker can't do it (i'm talking about brawl btw)

How do you use it? I click on the .exe and the cmd window pops up for about half a second, and thats it.

Open up CMD, locate the folder where the program is and type
wiiUR.exe and you will see the program

k i got it, but it says "cannot open iso file" when i typed in the brawl iso.

The error you are getting is probably because you are not typing the proper path of the iso file. Also, this path can not contain spaces unless you type the whole path in quotes. Like:

c:>wiiur smashbross.iso (wiiur c:\my downloads\smash bros.iso (

FYI: day and a half ago a new DL update was added to Brick Blocker and seems to work for just about every one.

Sorry to ask, as I see that this thread has already lived it's lifetime..but what's BrickBlocker exactly? And is it necessary/recommended to include with your burned games?

no it is not necessary for your burned games

its new to me but what i know. if you download a game from out side your region and if it has a update in it, it will remove the update

if you update your wii with a update for a different region it will brick or semi brick your wii (lock it up, or some of its functions)

does it mean I can remove the update from Brawl without getting duplicate channels or the black screen?
